Designing Sweet Dreams: Babies Onboard.

At Superyacht Interior Studio, our focus is on creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also functional and harmonious. One of our most recent projects involved designing a nursery and baby spaces onboard—a task that required blending charming baby elements with the existing sophisticated interior palette.

A Nursery at Sea: Newborn Comfort

Designing a nursery and baby spaces for a superyacht presents unique challenges and opportunities. The goal was to create safe spaces that catered to the needs of a two-month-old baby while seamlessly integrating with the yacht's luxurious aesthetics. The result was beautiful spaces that offered a safe, stimulating, and visually appealing environment for the littlest guest.

Pack-Away Play Spaces: Fun and Functional

A key feature of the nursery was its flexibility with pack-away play spaces. These areas are designed to be adaptable, allowing for various configurations as the child grows. From soft, padded play mats to baby chairs, every element is crafted with beauty, growth, and stimulation in mind. The compilation of items and design ensured the space could be easily transformed for different uses, making it a practical addition to the yacht.

Integrating Baby Elements with Elegance

The challenge of integrating baby elements into the yacht’s interior required careful selection of colours, materials, and finishes that complemented the overall design scheme. Soft pastels, gentle curves, and plush textures create a warm and inviting atmosphere while maintaining the sophisticated elegance that defines our clients' expectations.

Harmonious Spaces

The brief guided us to understand the transient nature of these spaces, so we endeavoured to create little areas of baby heaven around the yacht to ensure practicality as well as charm. Every detail, from the choice of non-toxic materials to the secure installation of furniture and safety features, reflects our commitment to quality and safety.

Safety, Safety, and More Safety

Without question, safety was at the forefront of our minds as we developed these spaces. The interior stairwells were fitted with baby-safe gates that didn’t detract from the aesthetics of the interior. The exterior also required further safety measures, including mesh guards around all the safety rails. Safety can also be well-designed, and this was a key aspect of the brief.

The Baby Onboard List

We procured an extensive inventory of 'all things baby' Everything from bottles to bassinets and beach toys to bathtubs! We even shopped for small wardrobe of outfits—irresistible!

Happy Baby!

We can proudly say that we created a beautiful space for our littlest guest ever! This project highlights our dedication to combining luxury, safety, and functionality.
